Duke of Edinburgh Award Ceremony

In April, Perseid Alumni attended the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Ceremony; an event organised by Carol Curtis, Merton’s DofE coordinator. Held at Ursuline High School, the evening celebrated the achievements of last year’s Year 14 students who achieved their Bronze DofE award. The award ceremony was hosted by adventurer Jamie Ramsay and provided the perfect opportunity for staff and alumni to come together to celebrate the student’s achievements, and learn all about what our pupils have been up to since they left Perseid School.

Throughout the task of achieving Bronze, students were tasked with developing experiences of volunteering and sports, enhancing their skills and preparing for an expedition; all of which they took on with a positive and determined attitude. It was fantastic to see students so engaged and enthused by the project and enjoying the experiences that were incredibly fun as well as really challenging – congratulations to all!
