KS4: Lockdown Learning & Back to School

From late March through to July, our Key Stage 4 teachers had a wonderful time, speaking with our pupils, catching up on learning, singing and chatting with Key Stage 4 pupils, especially Aarthiga, who joined in with singing and singing and updating staff on all that she had got up to. Ellie, worked very hard creating a photo diary during lockdown, entailing her home projects, including riding her trike and painting pebbles. Meanwhile, Food Science home learning gave pupils the opportunity to explore recipes and use the skills learnt in school in their home environments. They made fruity flapjack, spaghetti and funny faces on toast!

Back in school, Matisse Class quickly settled back into school. Pupils are enjoying their morning group yoga and board game sessions, enterprise lessons where they are designing and making new products including cars and guitars and developing an understanding of their individuality in their PHSE topic ‘All About Me’. And of course, all KS4 pupils have started their Drama lessons, where the topic is English literature and working towards a production in the Summer term.
