A Recording Session

In July, Upper School pupil Asma from Kusuma Class won the Jack Petchey Award, for her achievements in music. 

Asma used her reward money for a recording session with a professional musician, Chris Burgess from Pop Parties. In the session, Asma recorded two songs with her class and two on her own, some sung and others with her peers playing instrumental. 

We were thrilled that Chris was very impressed with the standard of signing, playing and level of enthusiasm from the group. In addition, he was amazed at Asma's vocal range, commenting that she was note and word perfect on her song choice - Take On Me, by A-ha.

All pupils recieved a USB wrist band, to take home the recorded songs. 

Well done to all who took part, and thanks to Asma for using her reward money towards and exciting and educational session for all, and finally to Chris for his support.
