A Very Special Visitor

Last week, Lord Ian Young of Norwood Green visited Perseid Upper School; Lord Young, from the House of Lords, had a tour lead by one of the pupils from school council, Ajit.

Lord Young was very impressed with the environment, the staff and the pupils' learning. All pupils were then invited to attend the work encounter with Lord Young and loved the opportunity to ask him some really interesting questions.

Lord Young and the pupils then sang 'Reach for the stars' to foster an ambitious attitude. Then, to finish the session, the pupils and Lord Young signed a 'work encounter register' using their handprint or writing their name.
