Bag Books Scheme

Last term, a number of pupils at Lower School benefitted from work with Bag Books, a charity providing multi-sensory books and storytelling for people with severe or profound and multiple learning disabilities. Stories are told through voice, emotion and objects in a repetitive manner, allowing each child opportunity and time to engage with and explore the story. Sessions are incredibly beneficial for pupils with SEND needs as they involve the individual in the story through sensory props and turn taking via motivating and interactive stories. It was great to see pupils so engaged with stories and we look forward to furthering our partnership with the charity and Morden Library.
