Perseid School

Christingle Service

As part of our Christmas celebrations, Lower School pupils participated in the traditional Christingle celebration. The Christingle event takes place in thousands of churches and schools across the country, with many raising funds to help The Childrens Society to continue their work supporting young people.

The Christingle holds special symbolism to help young children understand the relevance of Christmas time, with each element of the Christingle representing part of the Christmas story. This wonderful celebration ceremony is in its 50th year of helping and supporting children all over the country.

All pupils did a fantastic job creating their Christingles, the decorations were beautiful and were shared at Morden Baptist Church Christingle Service, where pupils joined in with the choir to sing Jingle Bells, Away in a Manger, We Wish you a Merry Christmas, and sang a special performance of Jesus is Born to the congregation.

Well done to our talented pupils, you were a credit to the school.
