This week, our focus is on the essential skill of Listening from the Skills Builder Framework. As our pupils continue to develop the key skills they’ll need as they prepare for their best next step into adulthood, developing their listening skills is crucial, not just in the classroom, but in all aspects of life.

 Listening is a skill that helps build understanding, fosters stronger relationships, and enhances the ability to learn. It allows us to take in important information, respond thoughtfully, and demonstrate respect for others’ ideas and perspectives. For our pupils, mastering listening will play a significant role in preparing for their best next steps into adulthood, whether it be in further education, the workplace, or personal relationships as they access community facilities alongside others.
