Perseid School

Innovation Grants

We are delighted to share with you that our Careers Leader, Louise Tidey, made an application for a Leading Edge Innovation Grant 2023-2024, which  has been successful.

In the feedback received, Louise was told that her application stood out among a strong field. All applications were reviewed anonymously to ensure that our reviewers were impartial. The panel thought that our project sounded very interesting and that other schools would likely benefit from engaging with it.

Our Project Focus:

Every pupil has the right to the best careers education that is pupil-centric, raises aspirations for life, encourages independence, builds confidence and which empowers all our pupils to plan and prepare for adulthood. The main focus of this work will be to further develop the bespoke, personalised careers education at Perseid School which can then be shared to inspire the potential of every pupil with severe learning difficulties and support every individual to discover their best next step.

At the beginning of the Autumn term, we will receive a partnership agreement for this project and can claim £500 upon signing the partnership agreement and the remaining £500 is paid on receipt of your final case study in July 2024. We look forward to finding out more over the next academic year.
