Link Club

This half term our Link club started up again providing opportunities for pupils from Perseid School to spend time with their mainstream peers from Abbotsbury School. The link club meet every Wednesday over the lunchtime play period and take part in a variety of activities designed to facilitate communication and team / group work.

 Already this term in their Link Club sessions, Perseid pupils took the Abbotsbury pupils on a tour of the school and have also introduced the them to the rabbits. Perseid helped to show and tell the Abbotsbury pupil’s how to care for the rabbits and where everything is kept. The Link Club have also spent time gardening.

They have each planted a bulb, which will be cared for by the pupils so they can see it grow over time. It is also a project for our Perseid pupils to take some photos of the flowers in the Spring term to send over to Abbotsbury.

As well as playing team games and getting to know you games using the parachute, Link Club are now working on a group art project. They are supporting each other to complete the art piece and hopefully will find a place to display it in either Perseid or Abbotsbury School.
