Perseid School

Lower School: Children in Need

At the end of November, Perseid Lower School celebrated Children in Need.

Early Years children supported Children in Need, with classrooms filled with Pudsey themed tuff trays, and lots of yellow sensory materials for the children to explore. Spotty or casual clothing, or pyjamas were encouraged to be worn to school, to ensure maximum comfort whilst watching their chosen movie, ‘Sing’, in the afternoon, accompanied by lots of snacks!

The purpose of the movie day was to bring awareness to the message of the Children in Need campaign - that all children should feel safe, happy and secure so that they are able to thrive. One pupil found doing PE in his pyjamas particularly humorous!

Other pupils across the school participated in a Bakeathon, and were challenged to make the spottiest cake they could.

The event was yet again a great success, as we raised 358 for the fantastic cause. We would like to extend our thanks to our pupils, staff, families, friends and wider community for their generosity and support.
