Perseid School

Macbeth

As part of our ongoing partnership with King’s College School, three of our talented Sixth Form pupils participated in an outstanding performance of ‘Macbeth’ alongside seven other schools at the Collyer Hall Theatre in the  annual community production.

Aman and Danogika have been rehearsing with two students from Kings  College every Friday at Perseid and Adnan has been visiting Ricards Lodge to work with Sixth Form students, to rehearse and perfect their pieces. The showcase was outstanding; as pupils devised and performed a modern version Macbeth and our pupils learned lines using the original text from the play which they then performed independently.

“Many congratulations on a tremendous production of Macbeth yesterday evening. The result of two terms’ work, the whole evening was an inspirational experience. Each scene was put together with great care and every performer had worked so hard to perfect their lines and acting and Councillor Mary Curtain, the Mayor of Merton, spoke incredibly warmly about the whole evening, proud of what we had achieved as a combined company of over 150 pupils and staff”.
