National Careers Week

This week marks National Careers Week! Across both the lower and upper school, students are developing essential skills to help them prepare for their best next step.

To kick off the week, our Sixth Form students hosted a 'Spring Market,' showcasing a variety of items they created in their enterprise lessons. The market was open to both peers and teaching staff, with all proceeds being reinvested into the Sixth Form business.

A big congratulations to the Sixth Form students for their hard work and a special thank you to teachers Grace and Katie for organizing this fantastic enterprise experience!

We also focused on Skills Builder at lower school. Across the week, we looked at the skills of teamwork, staying positive, aiming high, listening, speaking, and creativity. The children listened to different stories about these skills and then completed challenges using the skills.

For teamwork on Shrove Tuesday, the children worked as a team to chop different fruit and then they selected the toppings that they wanted on their pancakes.

For staying positive, the children built towers out of different materials and we worked on staying positive when the towers fell down. As a mindfulness activity, we looked carefully at pictures of sunsets and then went outside in the sunshine to draw sunsets using chalk.
