Outdoor Classroom Day
Last week was Outdoor Classroom Day 2021, and to celebrate, Parrot Class had a lovely session with Louise from Trees For Cities, who came in to do some Herb Planting with Lower School.
Pupils were smelling a range of herbs, and then planting these herbs in their Class area in the Edible Playground! Pupils really enjoyed the different smells and planting!
Octopus Class planted some lettuce plug plants as part of their participation in Outdoor Classroom Day. They very carefully looked at the plants, examining the roots, stem and leaves before placing in the soil. The pupils
loved getting outside and they cheered when they heard they were going gardening, with one pupil saying 'I like to go gardening!'.
