Outdoor Learning Day
Outdoor Learning Day celebrates the importance of outdoor learning and play, inspiring schools wordwide to make getting outdoors part of every child's day at school.
It is a global campaign that Perseid School embraces each year, due to the positive outcomes that outdoor learning can encourage, including improving children's health, engagement with learning and a greater connection with nature. Play not only teaches critical life skills such as resilience, teamwork and creativity, but is central to children's enjoyment of childhood.
Pupils had a great day, with highlights including: Red Pathway went on a shape hunt around the school grounds as part of learning about 3D shapes. Some of the pupils were ticking off on their chart, some were recording a tally and others were writing the word when they saw the shape.
Monkey Class had lots of fun going on a treasure hunt to find out about their new Creative Curriculum topic, where they found a dinosaur named Rex at the end!
