PSHE at Lower and Upper School
We are very pleased that we have been re-accredited as a UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting School (The Rights Respecting Schools Award | UNICEF UK)
The schools strengths were seen to be:
- The strategic approach of senior leaders and the RRSA coordinators to embed a rights-based approach, putting it at the core of the schools' ethos
- A caring and inclusive ethos where staff ensure that everyone can feel supported and fully involved in school life
- The school's work on health and wellbeing, in particular the implementation of emotional support plans and zones of regulation, was notable strong
- The school makes every effort to ensure pupil participation, ensuring that this includes pupils who may be non-verbal We will be sharing the ABCDE of Rights (see below)) with pupils, staff and families as our next step. This will ensure that we are revisiting the language and vocabulary of the Rights of the Child.
