Perseid School

Solidarity with Ukraine

On Wednesday 30th March, pupils across Lower and Upper school had a special assembly to reflect on the significant crisis in Ukraine and show our support to those families who have been affected through this difficult time.

As we all stand together to reflect on this situation and show our support to the people of Ukraine, we invited all pupils to wear blue or yellow clothing or special clothing that represents their cultural heritage and engage in themed activities to raise money for UNICEF to support children and families impacted by this crisis.

Pupils at Upper School engaged in art crafts, painting and planted sunflower seeds, whilst pupils at Lower School created traditional Ukranian honey biscuits and art work.

We are thrilled that our efforts raised £450 for UNICEF and we remain committed to promoting peace and belonging in our school community and extend our heartfelt wishes to our Ukrainian school community members.
