February 2025: Louise Tidey, My Role as Lead Pracitioner
I have worked as Lead Pracitioner, based at Upper School for two years.
I was interested in the position because I was keen to contribute my experience and skills, to support teachers and the wider teaching team in our shared goal of improve educational outcomes for all of our students. The position requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of pedagogy and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The position is a key leadership position in driving school improvement, particularly in teaching and learning. I am responsible for modelling outstanding practice, providing guidance and support to other teachers and leading professional development to enhance the overall quality of education.
The Lead Practitioner collaborates closely with senior leadership teams to ensure that effective strategies are in place to meet the diverse needs of students, and they often take the lead in implementing new initiatives or curriculum changes. It is vital that I promote the best possible outcomes for every child.
This role has offered me the opportunity to make a significant, positive impact on both the pupils' development and the wider school community, which aligns with my commitment to fostering an environment where all children can thrive.
