Perseid School

Swimming Gala

Panathalon is a charity that provides sporting opportunities to young children and adults with disabilities every year, on a national scale. Perseid School pupils have been participating in Panathlon sporting events for a number of years and we aware of the positive impact it has had on their lives, including the opportunity to take part in exciting activities, learn new skills and meet other pupils with SEN from across the borough.

In December, Perseid took a team of 8 pupils to the South London Swimming Panathlon. Held at the newly opened Morden Park Pools, pupils participated in a variety of races, from 25 meters and short relays to fun team games. Our pupils came 7th overall, and did both themselves and the school proud.

We would like to extend our thanks to all of the people, organisers and charity who made this wonderful event possible and a big congratulations to all participants, who displayed superb sportsmanship in both events, cheering on their teammates as well all other competitors.
